This is a picture of the Love Locks Bridge (actually the Pont des Arts bridge) from 2012. This is where lovers could write their names on a padlock, attach it to the bridge (or to other locks due to there being so many) and toss the key in the River Seine. Unfortunately, in 2015 a major portion of the bridge collapsed into the river. From then on doing this became illegal in Paris.That is the famed Notre Dame Cathedral in the background. As you may know a fire caused heavy damage to it in 2019. Reconstruction is complete and the reopened cathedral is amazing.
